Overview


Flowing with the raging strength from the highland (Bhot), Bhote Koshi originates from the glaciers of tenth highest peak of the world, Sisha Pangma in Tibet. As it plummets down to Nepal through the awe-inspiring valleys, it is outrageous, flowing through the carves of steep gorges and drops directly before it alleviates gradually to more easygoing streams and tranquil pools till it travels 46 km to Lamosangu Dam. The rapid of Bhote Koshi range from level IV to V in higher flows and remains classically III at lower levels.

The Bhote Koshi River offers a continual challenge and thrill to any rafters. This will be an idyllic parcel either for old hand or novice on river rafting. If you have never rafted before but willing to get an experience, we suggest you to do only on the lower part, the first day of this river trip. Awesome landscape of the territory, gorges, and patterns of limestone and gripping drops of river makes your adventure an ever memorable. Even experienced paddlers will agree that the Bhotekoshi is the eventual experience on river raft.

The beginning point of Bhote Koshi raft is closely located from Kathmandu in between Kathmandu and Kodari after a small deviation. An ideal extension of any kind of trip in Nepal and Tibet, Bhote Koshi rafting undoubtedly offers one of the most exciting water funs in Nepal which, brings you closer to the challenges of the nature and of course with the due respect for the supreme influence of nature. Outline Itinerary

Day 01 : Kathmandu- Lamosangu ( Drive ) - Raft

We driver 95 km east from kathmandu by bus to rafting starting point Lamosangu - Dam. This is a scenic drive through various villages with magnificent view of Himalayan peaks. The peaks that you can see during the drive includes Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishankar and others. We raft the first 10 km of the most exciting stretch of the river and then return to the start to play again the same stretch the next day rather than continue with only half a day paddling to the end. Drive back to camp.

Day 02 : Raft - drive to Kathmandu

After breakfast a quick pack up and set out to the adventurous white water hit of a class 3 rapid starting from upper section. You have the second chance to show how your raft team can work well together in challenging rapids.



Cost Includes:


  • Transportation from / to Kathmandu by tourist bus as per itinerary.

  • All International standard rafting equipment as necessary (Such as self bailing rafts, helmets, life jackets, kayaks, plastic paddles and spray jackets etc.)

  • Well-trained and highly experienced rafting guides, cooks, and other helper staff.

  • Camping & Cooking equipment (tents, mattress & kitchen gear).

  • 3 times’ a day continental & Nepalese meals during the rafting period (breakfast, lunch & dinner)

  • Accommodation in 2 person capacity tent during the rafting

  • All necessary fees, Government/Local taxes, all national park and conservation area fees. Tourist service charge,


Costs Excludes

  • Any type of personal expenditure such Alcoholic beverages and drinks, phone, and laundry.

  • Food & accommodation cost incase of any natural accident caused by weather.

  • Tips, Gratuities and expenditure.

  • Rescue & insurance such as travel, cancellation, accident, health, emergency evacuation and loss, theft of or damage to baggage and personal effects. You are advised to insure for it.
