Muktinath (3,710m/12,172ft), a holy site revered by Hindus and Buddhists alike, is located in the Muktinath valley of northern Nepal. Hundreds of thousands of devotees visit the place for pilgrimage each year. They take shower in the cold streams located inside the temple premise. Muktinath can be one of the destinations that serve you adventure traveling and sightseeing while observing cultural and religious aspects of Nepal. People from diverse ethnic background like Gurung, Magar, Thakali and Managi call Muktinath their home, making it even more colorful and interesting. Jomsom Muktinath trek takes you from the aesthetically pleasing lowland of Pokhara through the deepest valley in the world “Kali Gandaki” to the vastly uninhabited plateau of Upper Mustang. It also includes trekking parts of Annapurna region including Tatopani and Ghorepani.

The trek is suitable for anyone with moderate level of fitness. Jomsom Muktinath trek is a unique mixture of cultural journey, adventure travel and eco-tour in the high Himalayas. The trek throws a panoramic mix of Upper Mustang valley and scenic mountain ranges of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Dolpo. Day 02:

Kathmandu valley sightseeing & trek preparation

Day 03:

Drive to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft), 5-6 hrs drive

Day 04:

Fly to Jomsom (2,715m/8,910ft), trek to Kagbeni(3,710m/12,170ft) 3-4 hrs walk

Day 05:

Trek to Muktinath (3,800/12,467ft), 4-5 hrs walk

Day 06:

Trek to Marpha(2,680m/8,792ft), 6-7 hrs walk

Day 07:

Trek to Ghasa (2,110m/6,922ft), 6-7 hrs walk

Day 08:

Trek to Tatopani (1,190m/3,904ft), 4-5 hrs walk

Day 09:

Relaxing day at hot spring

Day 10:

Trek to Ghorapani (2,750m/9,020ft), 6-7 hrs walk

Day 11:

Trek to Tikhadhunga (1,552m/5,090ft), 4-5 hrs walk

Day 12:

Trek to Nayapul & Drive to Pokhara, 3-4 hrs walk & 1hour drive

Day 13:

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft), 5-6 hrs drive

The Trip Cost Includes

  • 1 experienced and license holder trekking guide and his daily meal, wage & accommodation.
