Restricted Area Trek
Restricted area trekking refers to trekking in such area that requires special permit for trekking from the government of Nepal. Upper Mustang , Dolpo Region , Nar Phu Valley , Ganesh Himal Trek and Manaslu Trek among few others are marked as restricted area trekking. Very few foregniers had visited this part of the world as it is probably one of the remote trekking routes of the world.
Upper Mustang trek is must do event for those trekkers who love trekking in remote area. It has various things to offer like Tibetan culture, thousands year old caves and monastery and scenic beauties.
Dolpo lists top among least developed districts of Nepal. It is the most remote part of the country too. It was opened for trekking in 1989 by the government of Nepal. Dolpo is situated in between Tibetan plateau and Dhaulagiri Himalayan range. Country’s largest national park and conservation area is located in this area. The park inhabits Musk Deer, Himalayan Blue Sheep and Snow Leopard.
Nar Phu valley trek is opened for the tourists since 2003 AD, which takes to you the remote part of Nepal densely populated by Nepalese Tibetans who depend on livestock. Trekking to this exotic land offers medieval Tibetan culture in undisturbed form, dramatic mountains view and great alpine sceneries. Nar Phu valley treks start from Syange following the world popular trekking routes Annapurna Circuits trail and branch off from Koto to follow the off the beaten track to Nar phu valley in the north of Manang and pass the Kang La pass with magnificent panorama of Annapurna massifs.
Ganesh Himal trekking area lies in central eastern region of Nepal, one of the most isolated and least explored area Nepal's Himalayas. Only a few foreigners are explored in the recent years.
