Trishuli Rafting

trishuli river rafting

Easy access from the three major tourist town of Nepal, Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan Trishuli is the most famous white water rafting river in Nepal. The crowded rafters in the river shores and the colorful rafts with adrenaline hungry rafters hit the rapids of this magnificent river almost 365 days a year. Picturesque valleys and striking gorges, thrilling rapids and the calm and tranquil sections at some spots of the river make the rafting trip in Trishuli a perfect water journey for both, the first-timers and experienced rafters.

During the normal rafting season when the river is smaller the river entertains significant number of rafter and hence the busy beaches. However, during the peak monsoon months the characteristics of Trishuli is totally different. The river swells like a huge angry serpent. The water in Trishuli overflows during this time and it seems like a huge ribbon of churning ocean is flowing to take along with it whatever comes on its way. At this time the rafters in the river are comparatively low. This is the best time to raft in this raging river to experience the extreme adventure of white water rafting. There are myriads of exciting rapids as the name of Snail’s nose, Teendevi, Malekhu rapid, Monkey rapid, Upset, Surprise, Monsoon, Cotton Pony, Ladies Delight, S-Bend, Highway, Monsoon and Pinball Rapid. This makes your fun more challenging during high flows with a good mixture of continuous rapids and pleasant calm water.

The major part of Trishuli rafting covers the challenges of river rapids going up and down very fiercely. While on the calm and tranquil spots of the river you can let go your exhaustion and enjoy the landscapes of lush vegetation, highway activities just above the ridge. If you prefer the longer raft in Trishuli the night stay in a resort just at the river shore can be particularly fun and exciting.
